What separates a service call here from one inland is what the condenser is breathing. A BI-42S or a PRO 48 pulls its cooling air through a grille, and in 92109 that air carries salt aerosol plus the fine sand that comes home from the boardwalk on towels, boards and dogs. Salt and sand pack into the fin gaps tighter than household dust does, and they hold moisture against bare aluminum.
